Bedding Makeover
Dear Linda,
My husband has wanted to switch up the bedding that we received a couple years ago when we got married, but I didn’t have the budget to go out and get all new decorative pillows and such...so, I got creative! Our bedspread and bedskirt were red and the pillows were red and beige. I bought a new duvet and bedskirt with a gift card we received. Then I went to Hobby Lobby and bought coordinating scrap and clearance fabric. I sewed one pillowcase by hand and made two “pillow-belts.” (Scrap fabric was the belt part. A paper mache photo frame, popsicle sticks, and fabric put together with a glue gun was my buckle!) I did buy one decorative pillow to be the cherry on top of the whole cake... :) Below is a close up picture...
I wanted to make a big change on a small budget, and the Holy Spirit gave me some great ideas! I wanted to share them because you and Center31 have brought out the domestic side in me! :)
