God’s desire for man was to have fellowship with him and
that he would multiply in the earth. Let’s go to Genesis 1 to see how it
all
began. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The
rest of the
chapter goes on to tells us how He did it. When He completed creating
the
heavens and the earth, He made man in His image, both male and female.
In verse
28 God instructs them to multiply in the earth and to fill it. God
desired
family. He created family. His desire is for a family.
The
entire process is very interesting to me. First,
God
made a place for man. He was prepared for man. He created an
environment he
could live in. He showed a commitment to the relationship before He
entered the
relationship. God is so true to His Word. Proverbs 24:3-4 in the Living Bible states that “Any enterprise
is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and
profits
wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.” This is what the
Father did.
When Jesus left the earth, he went to
prepare a place for
us.
He
isn’t waiting for us to come and then throw something together for us.
God is a planner. He planned to have a family, so He prepared for
the family,
and then He created the family. This demonstrated His love for us. He
wasn’t
all about the fellowship. He is about expressing His love for His
children. God
isn’t all about Himself. His thought was and is how He can express His
love.
As
I stated last month, when we ask Jesus to
be the Lord of
our life, we become a child of God, a daughter. It is up
to us to embrace Him
as Father and to become a daughter. Just like when a baby is born that
child
has everything in them to become all that his parents put in him. We
have the
ability to become all God put in us in Christ Jesus. The more we embrace
who
our Father is and what He has done for us, the more we become who He
made us to
be.
The decision must be established that we are daughters of God
who love our heavenly Father, want to be like Him and please Him.
